Restaurant access survey 133
東京都内の飲食店のバリアフリー情報 (Barrier-free information for restaurants in Tokyo), 東京都産業労働局 — Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs. Licensed Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International . We translated the column headings into English, dropped the opening hours and closing days because they go out of date, and grouped the restaurants by the nearest subway station using the survey's own access notes. The result is our arrangement of the Metropolitan Government's data, not the Metropolitan Government's own publication. Catalogue entry.
Sight and event locations, addresses, walking routes and station exits © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Exits are community-mapped and not a complete or official list.
Step-free facts are adapted from Tokyo Metropolitan Government open data (CC BY 4.0): the Bureau of Transportation's station barrier-free tables and the Bureau of Social Welfare's accessible-toilet survey (FY2025), condensed for this site. Facilities change — station staff have today's answer.
First and last train times (operator timetables issued 2026-03-16, retrieved 2026-07-31) and Toei fares come from the Public Transport Open Data Centre (ODPT) — Tokyo Metro under the Public Transport Open Data Basic Licence, Toei (including the fare table, credit 東京都交通局・公共交通オープンデータ協議会) under CC BY 4.0 . Fares shown are IC-card prices for journeys staying on Toei lines. City-bus stops and routes on station pages are adapted from the same centre's Toei Bus data (credit 東京都交通局・公共交通オープンデータ協議会, CC BY 4.0; retrieved 2026-07-31). The data originates with the operators and is not guaranteed accurate or complete. Please do not contact the railway companies about anything shown on this site — write to [email protected] instead.
Nearby places on the food, shopping and after-dark pages come from Overture Maps Foundation places data (release 2026-07-22.0) — CDLA-Permissive-2.0 / Apache-2.0, with contributions including Meta and Foursquare open data. Editorial picks on those pages are our own writing.
The map door image on the home page is assembled from GSI seamless photo tiles (地理院タイル — source: 国土地理院 ). The fares door is “Toei Yoyogi-STA Ticket-vending-machines” by MaedaAkihiko, CC BY-SA 4.0 , via Wikimedia Commons .
Weather, air and yen readings are not baked into these pages — your browser fetches them from three outside services as you look at them. The forecast, the AMeDAS observations behind “feels like”, and the warning banner are 出典: 気象庁ホームページ (Japan Meteorological Agency), used under the agency's terms of use (公共データ利用規約 第1.0版). Air quality comes from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), whose free tier is licensed for non-commercial use; asking the weather page for a forecast at your own location sends those coordinates to it. Yen rates come from Frankfurter, which republishes the European Central Bank's daily reference rates — a mid-market reference, not a rate anyone will hand you over a counter.
Coin lockers and cash machines inside the gates are adapted from 東京都交通局's 駅構内のお店 (CC BY 4.0), covering 28 Toei stations of our 216. Hours are deliberately not reproduced — they change, and the station staff have today's answer.
The background essays on eight station pages — Meiji Jingu's forest, Asakusa, Ameyoko, Shinjuku Gyoen, Kabukiza Theatre, Kokyo Gaien, the Imperial Palace outer garden, Zojoji Temple, Toyosu Market — are quoted verbatim from 観光庁's multilingual commentary database . The agency commissioned them from professional writers and editors, holds the copyright, and permits verbatim reuse including commercial reuse; changing the wording requires its prior consent, so not a character has been altered — not the spelling, not the punctuation, not the length. Each page carries the credit sentence the licence asks for, and the year the text was written, because a sentence counting shops was true in a particular year.
The seven things that go wrong on a first day are quoted from 観光庁's survey of the reception environment for inbound visitors (令和7年度 edition — 4,110 responses collected 18 Nov 2025 – 13 Jan 2026 at Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Fukuoka and New Chitose). Every percentage on that page comes from that one edition. The taxi supplement hours are the 東京ハイヤー・タクシー協会's; the rate is not stated there, so it is not stated here either.
Public holidays — which day the date chip names, and which timetable the last-train strip reads — come from the 内閣府 (Cabinet Office) holiday register (出典:内閣府, 公共データ利用規約 第1.0版), baked at build time. Rows the register names only 「休日」 are shown as “Public holiday”: it does not record whether they are a 振替休日 or a 国民の休日, so neither do we. English names are the conventional renderings — the register is Japanese-only.
Airport bus fares and times are taken from the operators' own published timetables (Keisei Bus, JR Bus Kanto and others, Airport Limousine, Keikyu Bus, Tokyu Bus, Kokusai Kogyo Bus, Tobu Bus; checked 2026-07-29) and restated in our words. They change — confirm with the operator before you travel.
