Neon lanes Gotanda Yurakugai五反田有楽街
The lanes fanning from the east exit between Sakurada-dori and Sony-dori: izakaya, yakiton counters and grills stacked under neon, an after-work quarter rather than a sightseeing one. It is also Gotanda’s red-light block — girls bars, host and hostess venues and love hotels share the same streets, so pick your door deliberately and never take a tout’s.

Renovated arches Under the Ikegami line池上線五反田高架下
Tokyu converted some 230 metres of viaduct toward Osaki-Hirokoji into a run of bars and kitchens in 2018 — part deliberately retro yokocho of yakitori and okonomiyaki counters, part polished conversion. The calm counterpart to the lanes opposite.
