After dark the stone-paved lanes off Kagurazaka-dori glow with the lanterns hung at restaurant doors — the most atmospheric night walk in central Tokyo. It is still a working geisha district, though a small one, and the ryotei are reservation-only and priced far above an ordinary dinner. Walk it quietly; people live here.
