After dark Shibuya
-
Drunkard’s alley Nonbei Yokochoのんべい横丁
About forty tiny bars in two wooden rows wedged between the railway embankment and the towers — the last of the four postwar yokocho that once ringed Shibuya Station. Counters seat four or five, and most add a seat charge, so ask before you sit.

Rooftop view Shibuya Sky渋谷スカイ
The open-air deck 229 metres above the scramble — the city’s best night panorama, on a timed-entry ticket worth booking ahead.

Live music Dogenzaka live houses道玄坂
The slope still carries Shibuya’s music history — La.mama has broken new bands from a basement here since 1982, and the bigger nights run at O-EAST, clubasia and WOMB up in Maruyamacho. Some landmarks are gone to the Dogenzaka redevelopment, so buy for a named venue and a named bill.

No opening hours here — small bars keep their own, and many close without notice. Check before you set off, and ignore anyone on the street offering to take you somewhere.
